]]> By: jo21 http://www.nurulizzah.com/site/2008/04/21/medan-damansara-folks-object-to-project/comment-page-1/#comment-138 jo21 Wed, 23 Apr 2008 02:45:45 +0000 http://nurulizzah.com/site/?p=104#comment-138 izzah. i applaud your good work. on medan damansara is the land originally belonging to govt ? if alienated or privatised there must be documents to prove this.titles and records of transactions can be obtained from land office. this must be clarified. if it is private and within zoning controls, it should be allowed to proceed but the safety measures must be complied.if not then it must be stopped. the slope looks very steep and the plastic sheets do not look even mildly sufficient protection as the trees and shrubs have been removed. there is a very real danger of slope failure due to surface erosion. independent engineers opinions should be obtained. some shoring or even metal sheet piling might be required. this must be done immediately, for residents safety. on federal hill the land is most likely govt owned and zoned institutional as evidenced by the existing police station. this development is therefore most likely illegal and cannot be allowed. govt land zoned as institutional should not be appropriated for private commercial use. i think there is no such thing as privatisation of federal land. on bkt gasing of more concern is the land belonging to DBKL/FT that is adjoining the sanctuary ridge project. it is also being improperly and illegally privatised. this may be the reason that DBKL is using sanctuary ridge as the test bed for protests. look into this. this land should be gazzeted as a park reserve. izzah. i applaud your good work.
